The vision for the Wool CRC is that it will:
- Actively pursue the integration of Australian wool industry research
and education providers, industry organisations and companies into
collaborative ventures focussed on improving the quality and competitive
position of Australian wool in the world textile market.
- Enhance wool fibre quality, improve production and processing
efficiency, and enhance understanding of the requirements for developing
innovative wool based products by conducting high quality strategic
research.
- Develop and foster technology based innovation to improve the
quality profile of Australian wool and the productivity and
profitability of Australian sheep production and wool processing
enterprises.
- Create a world class, wool industry education capability in
Australia encompassing postgraduate, undergraduate and industry relevant
short course (diploma/certificate/other) training.

Statement
To undertake high quality strategic research focussed on
improving productivity and product quality at all stages of the wool
pipeline and to support this activity with innovative education and
technology transfer programs to achieve a more competitive and profitable
Australian wool industry.
